According to the head of the organization of commerce of the province Hamadan, 50 thousand tons of autumnal potato will be exported abroad by the end of the year.
“Currently, the most demands for our potato yield are from Iraq and about 140 thousand tons of this commodity has been exported to that country in this year,” added Feisal Mardaasi.
“This issue promotes the exporters, but we hope that Iraq will not be the only target market in the eyes of our government,” he stated, appreciating the government’s new increased prices on guaranteed purchase of potato.
“The markets of Turkey and Kuwait can be new target markets for Hamadan and other provinces’ potato,” said Mardaasi.
