The Australian Food and Grocery Council (AFGC) Board has elected a new chair.
Terry O’Brien, Managing Director of Simplot Australia, has been elected by the Board following the resignation of John Doumani.
Doumani, Managing Director Australia New Zealand of Fonterra, served on the AFGC Board for five years, including two years as chair.
O’Brien brings more than 25 years of industry experience to the role, including two stints on the AFGC Board.
“It’s great to have someone with so much industry knowledge and vitality who will help AFGC take up these important challenges and to work with government to strengthen the current operating environment,” said AFGC CEO Gary Dawson.
