Potato News November 2010

As I am getting ready for my travel to the Interpom | Primeurs in Belgium, here is a PotatoPro Newsletter with an overview of recent news. Of special interest you may find the potato crop estimates from Canada and Great Britain and the United States data were of course included in our previous newsletter "United States Fall Potato Production 2010 down 8%".

If your interest is more on the equipment side, you may want to take another look at our Interpom | Primeurs 2010 Special.

In the company section you find the newly added companies. We have expanded the directory with additional starch manufacturers, given the high number of requests that we receive in that area (shortage?).

Interpom | Primeurs is an indoor tradeshow in Belgium that at its inception exclusively covered the potato sector, but now also includes the fruit and vegetable sector. With 220 exhibitors, this event can call itself the top European event for the potato sector. Interpom covers the entire potato supply chain: from seed potatoes, cultivation, to processing equipment and potato processing companies.
