A reversal in potato consumption trends since 2012 in Ireland sees sales of the crop reach close to 2007 levels.

The Irish Fruit and vegetable wholesaler Iverk Produce has signed a deal to provide Aldi with €70m worth of Irish-grown potatoes over three years.

With a major new campaign to promote fresh potatoes across Britain and Ireland about to break, AHDB Potatoes and Bord Bia (the Irish Food Board) are calling on industry to get behind it and help change the way consumers think about potatoes.
