La producción de papa en América del Norte se concentra en dos país - los Estados Unidos y Canadá, lo cuales ocupan el quinto y catorceavo lugar, respectivamente, en la producción de papa a nivel mundial.
Desde 1990, ambos países han alcanzado incrementos notables en la producción, la cual promedia hoy en día alrededor de 45 toneladas/ha en los EE.UU. y 30 toneladas/ha en Canadá.
Los dos países también son importantes exportadores de productos congelados a base de papa.
