Walkers' highly divisive Brussels sprouts crisps are hitting the shelves AGAIN in a blatant attempt to ruin Christmas.

The crisp giant announced the return after claiming they had received requests 'all year round' from fans who were desperately searching to get their hands on a pack outside of the festive season.

So while we can't understand why anymore would want to eat anything tasting remotely like those green horrors, this will be music to some people's ears.

The good news is they'll be paired with some more acceptable Christmas flavours - Pigs in Blankets and Turkey & Stuffing - so it's still well worth picking up the selection pack.

Tweets to blame for the crisps' return include one from February, which reads:

“Had some of your sprout flavoured crisps today and they were sensational. Is there still a chance of buying any anywhere?”
Another tweet in May demanded:

“Can we have sprout flavoured crisps back ASAP!?”
Thankfully, there will also be a 'Sprouts Haters' multi-pack which includes 'Glazed Ham', 'Cheese & Cranberry' and 'Turkey & Stuffing', so Walkers is offering something for everyone.

Having sold 15 million packs last year, you definitely won't be short of finding someone willing to take the sprouts bags off your hands. Both selection bags will cost £1.65 and include two of each flavour.

For the first time, the pigs in blankets and turkey and stuffing options will also be available in 75g sharing packs, both retailing for £1. The whole range will go on sale in-store and online at major retailers from Monday, October 7.

Wayne Newton from Walkers:

“It’s official, our festive flavours are back.”

“We’ve seen huge demand from crisp lovers on social media so we’re expecting British taste-buds to once again delight in the mix of flavours on offer.”

“Whether you’re a sprout lover or a sprout hater, or just love a bit of Christmas novelty, these playful flavours will certainly help you to get into the festive spirit.”
