Tummers stainless steel balance tanks have been used for many years in the food processing industry for continuously cleaning circulating water. Sediments sink to the draining point at the bottom, while relatively clean water is taken from the center of the tank for reuse.
Sediments can be released at set times by means of a pneumatic valve into a discharge chute. The top of the tank is equipped with a large spray ball for the supply of freshwater. The balance tank is used for both cleaning and ensuring the stable operation of the entire water transport system. When used in water-cutting systems this tank can also be connected to the starch-recycling unit.
