Largo Foods (Tayto) receives grant for equipment and R&D

In Ireland, the government have committed grant assistance in excess of half a million euro to Gaoth Dobhair based Largo Food Exports Ltd.

The funds will be used to update equipment and for research and development into new products to be produced in Gaoth Dobhair for the Irish and British markets.

Largo will also invest more than €2.3 million into the Gaoth Dobhair operation this year for the same initiatives, bringing to the total investment to more than €2.9 million.

Announcing the news, Dinny McGinley, TD, minister of state for the Gaeltacht said, “This €579,564 investment is vital in securing the continued presence of Largo Food Exports Ltd. in Gaoth Dobhair.”
