DCA Frozen Fries Indices

The three new indices for Frozen Fries include:

  • Open Market Index – Reflects the price of frozen fries on the open market.
  • Fast Food Index – Tracks price trends for frozen fries sold to fast food chains.
  • Frozen Fries 70/30 Index – A weighted average of the Open Market Index and the Fast Food Index, providing a comprehensive view of the overall price trends in the frozen fries sector.

The Frozen Fries Indices reflect the cost price and are calculated based on fixed specifications and a transparent methodology. These indices have been rigorously tested in recent months. The price trends are illustrated in the graph below, with the most recent prices from last Friday (week 7) providing the latest market insights

Earlier this year, DCA Market Intelligence introduced the DCA EU-4 Potato Index, a benchmark for the price of processing potatoes in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and France. The specifications of the DCA Frozen Fries Indices and more information about the DCA Potato Platform can be found on the DCA Market Intelligence website.
