Visitors to Haith’s stand at LAMMA in January will be the first to hear about the company’s new Rota-tip S Box Tippler.

The specialist vegetable handling and processing machinery manufacturer is introducing the new box tippler to cater for farmers, growers and small to medium packers looking for a high quality, lower cost streamlined machine.

Unlike Haith’s market-leading Rota-tip SE and TE box tipping system, which has a patented design and can handle up to 30 boxes per hour and weights of up to four tonnes, the new Rota-tip S handles 15 boxes per hour.

With a lower price point than the Rota-tip SE and TE, the Rota-tip S is designed to replace hydraulic tipplers.

Even though the new machine is priced 20% less than the Haith Rota-tip SE, the Rota-tip S is still packed with innovative features. Its all-electric drive makes it efficient and safe to use, and by removing the hydraulics, Haith’s design team have ensured it handles produce safely and without risk of contamination.

The Rota-tip S rotates around a centre pivot, which means the weight of the box is never lifted and the machine is not put under any pressure, thereby eliminating fatigue or damage to the machine and the box. Haith has also incorporated a continental web on the machine, which forms a lid on the box as it rotated, to ensure the crop isn’t scuffed when it is transferred.

Pre-orders for the new machine are being taken now for both the mild steel and stainless-steel versions, both of which come with a programmable HMI control screen.

Duane Hill, Sales Director at Haith:

“With over 120 Haith Rota-tip SE and TEs in operation around the world at some of the biggest food producers, we’ve been pretty successful so far.”

“However, there’s a large number of people who are looking for the best quality box tipper they can afford that don’t need all of the features that have made the Haith Rota-tip SE and TE so popular.”

“They don’t need to handle 30 boxes an hour. They want something at a lower price point, that’s just as well made but not built to handle such high volumes. Based on conversations with growers, farmers and packers, we think they want the Haith Rota-tip S – that’s why we’ve developed it, and we can’t wait to unveil it to people at LAMMA!”
Haith will be in Hall 8-9 Stand 8-9.230 at LAMMA, which this year moves to the Birmingham NEC.

As well as the new Rota-tip S, Haith will be promoting its range of on-farm grading and washing equipment alongside a pre-season special offer on grading screens.
