Chipita is a Greek company manufacturing a range of food products, including Potato Chips and extruded Snacks.
Chipita was established in Greece in 1973 as a company producing and marketing savoury snacks. Its main products back then were their Extra cheese-flavoured corn snacks, subsequently followed as of 1988 by potato chips.
In later years, the company was very successful with baked goods, such as an individually packaged baked croissant with long shelf life, a mini croissant with similar properties and savoury bake rolls.
Starting in 1995, Chipita has established itself as an International company by setting up manufacturing plants in Bulgaria, Portugal and Egypt, followed by Mexico, Poland, Romania, Russia and Saudi Arabia and more recently India and Turkey. Chipita also set up commercial offices in the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine.
Potato Chips are sold branded Chipita (regular chips) and Tsipers (wavy chips). Extruded (corn) snacks include "Extra Cheesy Curls" and pizza flavoured "Extra Spicy Stars"
