Bayer and Solynta have reached an agreement to collaborate on the commercialization and distribution of true potato seeds in Kenya and India.

Solynta, the Dutch company that specializes in the development, production and sales of hybrid true potato seed has announced that it will adjust its branding to 'Solynta – true potato seed'.

After several meetings and visits to each other, a powerful collaboration has emerged. The Hybrid True Potato Seeds from Solynta and the plant raising facilities and skills from Agris are turning out to be a golden combination.

Solynta's potato variety was the only one to survive the high late blight pressure in the field among three other commercial varieties planted alongside.
