Phytophthora zorgde in de aardappelteelt in 2010 voor veel blad- en stengelaantastingen. Ondanks de hoge ziektedruk vallen de problemen met knolziek relatief mee.
Volgens Chris Boone hebben aardappeltelers veel correctiebespuitingen moeten uitvoeren om hun aardappelen zo gezond mogelijk in de schuur te krijgen. De teeltspecialist van Heyboer keek gisteren tijdens een drukbezochte klantenbijeenkomst in Lelystad terug op afgelopen gewasbeschermingseizoen.
Boone: 'Vanaf eind juli en begin augustus kregen we te maken met serieuze phytophthoradruk. Problemen ontstonden vooral op bedrijven waar te lang is doorgespoten met bladmiddelen en te laat overgestapt werd op knolbescherming'.
