Variety Description

BRS F50 (Cecília) is a yellow-skinned potato variety developed in Brazil by Embrapa’s Potato Genetic Improvement Program and released in 2022. The variety was bred to combine high productivity, good culinary quality, and moderate resistance to major foliar diseases, making it suitable for both conventional and organic farming systems.

Plant Characteristics

  • Vegetative cycle: Medium maturity, approximately 110 days
  • Foliage: Moderately open canopy with weak to very weak anthocyanin pigmentation on stems and leaf veins
