Agristo Masa and AVR, both companies with West Flanders and Belgian roots, are strengthening their cooperation with a new investment intent. During the Belgian Economic Mission to India (26 February - 5 March 2025), led by Princess Astrid, Stefan Top, Managing Director of AVR, and Agristo Masa signed an agreement for the purchase of two additional AVR potato harvesters within the next two years. This follows an earlier delivery of an AVR harvester earlier this year.

PepsiCo India announced expansion plans for its largest greenfield foods manufacturing plant that produces the immensely popular LAY’S potato chips in Kosi Kalan, Mathura in Uttar Pradesh.

PepsiCo invests USD 110 million in a new potato chip plant in Kosi Kalan, Mathura spanning 29 acres. Pepsico will procure 150,000 tons of potatoes from more than 5,000 local farmers. This investment creates 1,500 jobs.
