Agraset-Friweika GmbH

Agraset-Friweika GmbH is a German potato processing firm that produces fresh peeled potatoes and specialised potato preparations for culinary, wholesale, and manufacturing customers. Established as a joint venture between Agraset Agrargenossenschaft eG Naundorf and Friweika eG, the firm blends regional potato procurement with contemporary peeling, grading, cutting, packing, and cold-chain processing techniques. It offers peeled potatoes, diced potatoes, sliced potatoes, potato cubes, rissole cuts, mashed potato preparations, and other ready-to-use potato forms in a variety of pack sizes for professional kitchens and commercial users. The firm also provides customised cutting alternatives, vacuum packing, and flexible processing solutions to fulfil a variety of customer needs.

Agraset-Friweika GmbH was established on June 26, 2000, as a 50/50 joint company between Agraset eG Naundorf and Friweika eG Weidensdorf. The processing facility was built on the Agraset grounds in Neugepülzig (Erlau), Saxony, to create a specialised fresh potato peeling business that merged regional potato production with Friweika's marketing knowledge. In 2001, work began on a new high-tech peeling plant to boost manufacturing capacity and product quality. Currently, the factory processes roughly 370 tonnes of potatoes each month, resulting in approximately 4,400 tonnes of peeled potatoes yearly.
