Delicious golden-brown chips (french fries) with only a spoonful of oil - sounds too good to be true.
The ActiFry cooks with hot air and minimal oil - a paddle in the centre of the cooking pan evenly distributes the oil by stirring food as it cooks.
We cooked 1kg of potato chips with one spoonful of vegetable oil.
The chips were very good. They were non-greasy, golden brown and crunchy but with soft fluffy centres. They had a nice oven-baked taste and not that of a fried chip.
The chips took 45 minutes to cook - about the same as when baking them in an oven.
