De totale Duitse aardappeloogst is t.o.v. de eerder deze maand gedane prognose door het AMI met 300.000 ton naar beneden bijgesteld.
Volgens het comité op deelstaatniveau voor oogsten en kwaliteit zal naar verwachting de totale aardappeloogst uitkomen op slechts 9,50 miljoen ton. Dat is 2,3 miljoen ton minder dan in oogstjaar 2009 en 17,8% minder t.o.v. het gemiddelde (11,6 miljoen ton) over de jaren 2004 t/m 2009.
Van het totale volume aardappelen is de laatste jaren ca. 30% afkomstig van zetmeel, uitgaande van dit percentage zal de totale poot- en consumptieaardappeloogst uitkomen op 6,65 miljoen ton. Dat is 1,25 miljoen ton minder dan in oogstjaar 2009 maar ook minder dan in de dure jaren 2006 (7,40 miljoen ton) en 2003 (7,20 miljoen ton).
