In de maand januari 2011 zijn er 291.000 ton aardappelen verwerkt tot consumptieproducten. Dat blijkt uit de meest recente cijfers van het Productschap Akkerbouw (PA).
Ten opzichte van januari 2010 zijn er 15.500 ton (5,5%) meer aardappelen verwerkt.
In verhouding bleken meer aardappelen afkomstig van invoer 68.000 ton in januari 2011 (23,4%) tegen 62.400 ton in januari 2010 (22,7%).
Totaal over de periode februari 2010 t/m januari jl. komt het verwerkingscijfer uit op 3.404,300 ton bijna 30.000 ton meer dan over de periode februari 2009 t/m januari 2010.
