Farmers in Bogra (Bangladesh) could produce huge quantity of potato this year and they are also getting good price for it. The bumper production of potato as well as its good price has encouraged the farmers to go for more production next season.
Potato farmer Abdul Mannan in Mohishaban village under Bogra Sadar Upazila said they are benefited by cultivating potato this year. He believed farmers would cultivate potato on more land next year.
According to a market source, the price of potato is three times higher in the retail market than the previous year.
