McCain works towards Woolworths deal in Australia

Supermarket chain Woolworths is in talks with McCain Foods for it to supply potatoes to a new line of frozen home-brand products.
The Canadian-owned food processor is cutting the amount of potatoes it buys from Ballarat region farmers and is negotiating individual contracts, instead of dealing with the growers' association. It has been criticised for increasing potato imports.
