DOWNS CropVision: a new potato Sorter in the US Market with AI-Powered Mobile Precision

januari 24, 2024

The DOWNS CropVision®, a new optical sorter for unwashed potatoes, is now available in the United States Market via MAT-Harvesting. After inspecting the entire surface of the product using industrial cameras, an Artificial Intelligence algorithm categorizes each potato: green, misshapen, cut, rotten, as well as dirt clods, stones, and waste.

DOWNS CropVision® separates three categories: good product, second quality and waste. Settings are made via an intuitive, user-friendly touch screen.

This means you can use it during harvesting as well as during potato shipments. With 8ft to 9ft width, this high-capacity sorter can process up to 100 tons / hour. You can now integrate I-CropVision® into your installation and benefit from its many advantages: improved productivity, improved profitability by saving labor.
