Yemen: Al-Bayda Governorate Supports Mukayras Farmers with Distribution of 20 Tons of Improved Potato Seeds

The Director of Mukayras District in Al-Bayda Governorate, Yasser Jahalan, along with agricultural sector official Engineer Mohammed Al-Haidari, launched today the distribution of 20 tons of improved potato seeds to farmers in the district.
Supporting Farmers Across the District
The distribution through the Mukayras Agricultural Cooperative Multipurpose Society targets 120 farmers across the district’s sub-districts. During the launch, attended by Ibrahim Sawad Jahalan, head of the agricultural committee, officials appreciated the support provided to farmers and encouraged their participation to meet the need for potatoes and other crops.

They urged farmers to benefit from the facilities provided by the society and the Public Company for Potato Seed Production. Engineer Al-Haidari noted that seeds for vegetables, legumes, corn, wheat, and other crops had previously been distributed and affirmed that the governorate’s agriculture office will continue supporting agricultural advancement in various districts.
