Chuma is a late-maturing specialty crisp and chip variety released in Malawi in 2011. It features oblong tubers with red smooth skin, yellow flesh, and shallow eyes. Highly resistant to late blight and viruses, it performs best in high rainfall areas and has a long dormancy period (90–120 days) with 21% dry matter.
