The GRIMME AIRSEP 290 is a high-performance two-row potato harvester developed around the innovative AirSep separation system. Originally introduced in collaboration with SPUDNIK and awarded the DLG Gold Medal, this technology is especially effective in stony and challenging soil conditions.
The AirSep separator uses a controlled air stream to remove stones, clods, and trash early in the crop flow, significantly improving cleaning efficiency and reducing the need for manual sorting.
All main webs and separators are hydraulically driven as standard, allowing infinitely variable speed adjustment independent of the tractor’s PTO speed. With the integrated Speedtronic system, web and separator speeds are automatically adjusted based on load, ensuring optimal performance and crop protection.
The AIRSEP 290 features a large 9-tonne bunker for high productivity, along with an optional 7.5-tonne NonstopBunker that enables continuous harvesting and increases digging capacity by up to 20–30%.
The TriSys tricycle chassis enhances load distribution, increases ground contact area by up to 65%, and reduces soil compaction while ensuring excellent stability. All three wheels are steerable, and hydraulic drive options provide maximum traction in difficult conditions.
With ISOBUS control and integrated telemetry via myGRIMME, the machine supports real-time monitoring, data recording, and connectivity with farm management systems.
