The GRIMME KT-175 is a single-row, lightweight, tractor-mounted sieving harvester designed for the gentle harvesting of potatoes and other sensitive root crops. It operates without a bunker or overloading elevator, ensuring minimal handling stress and preserving crop quality.
The machine is hydraulically driven by the tractor and features a horizontal hedgehog separator for effective removal of stones and clods. Its picking platform accommodates 2 to 4 operators, allowing efficient sorting before the crop is directly loaded into large boxes with a capacity of up to 750 kg. The machine can also be configured to support different box systems as optional setups.
For crop intake, the KT-175 uses a combination of a diablo roller, haulm feed-in rollers, and finger shares to ensure smooth and efficient lifting. Sieving takes place on a 75 cm wide main web, followed by an additional shaking unit that enhances soil separation.
The mounted design improves handling and manoeuvrability, especially on headlands, making it suitable for precision harvesting operations.
