Diepvriesfrites en aardappelspecialiteiten uit Oekraïne

Ukraine has begun building its largest potato processing plant in Cherkasy. The first phase, due by late 2026 or early 2027, will produce 25,000 tonnes of potato flour annually, replacing imports, with future expansion into French fries and exports.

Ukraine’s MAIS has started building the country’s first potato processing plant producing fries, flakes, and flour. Handling 180,000 t of potatoes annually, it aims to reduce imports, boost exports, and modernize Ukraine’s potato sector by 2027.

“Potato Agro” is building a plant in Cherkasy region to process 150–180K tons of potatoes yearly into fries and flour. The facility is under construction, with a flour line set to launch in early 2026, says director Olga Lonska.
