Saatzucht Dr. K.-H. Niehoff is a formerly state owned breeding station in Germany that has developed several starch potato varieties.
Its breeding activities focus on the development of multi-resistant potato varieties that can withstand different pathotypes of G. pallida and G. rostochiensis nematodes, as well as potato wart disease (Synchytrium endobioticum).

At Potato Europe, breeding company Dr. K.-H. Niehoff will present a new table potato, the Macarena, a variety with a number of traits that are expected to generate particular interest given the weather conditions this year in Germany.
