Tayto (Northern Ireland)

Tayto is a chip manufacturer in Northern Ireland.

In 2006 Tayto acquired part of the Golden Wonder operations. In December 2007 Tayto acquired Sirhowy Valley Foods the manufacturing company behind Real Crisps.

Tayto also operates factories located in Corby (former Golden Wonder), Wednesbury (Red Mill Snack Foods; closed 2010)

There is also a potato crisp manufacturer named Tayto in Ireland

Tayto Group closes Red Mill Snack Foods: 300 jobs cut

Today the Red Mill Snack Food Company, which is owned by Tayto Group, revealed all 300 jobs at the Wednesbury plant will go and production is moving to a plant in Corby, Northamptonshire. Production will continue until at least February.
