PotatoEurope 2026 to showcase potato technology, machinery and field innovations in Germany

PotatoEurope 2026 will return to Germany on September 9-10, 2026, at the Rittergut Gestorf estate near Hanover, showcasing the latest technology and innovations in potato cultivation and processing.
Professional growers and industry visitors will be able to explore developments in arable farming, crop production, machinery and processing technologies, while live field demonstrations, DLG Spotlights and expert presentations will provide opportunities for technical exchange and discussion.
The open-air exhibition will focus on the entire potato value chain, from breeding through to processing. Running alongside the event will be the SugarBeet Expo, dedicated to sugar beet cultivation technologies and field innovations.
International platform for the potato industry
PotatoEurope 2026 will bring together potato growers, processors, marketers and agricultural professionals from Germany and international markets.
Visitors will be able to discover current research and technology trends, practical farming solutions and future-oriented developments presented by companies active in breeding, crop protection, digitalisation, agricultural machinery and processing.
Dedicated demonstration plots will showcase new potato varieties as well as the effects of crop protection products and fertilisers.
Technical programme and live machinery demonstrations
The technical programme will include specialist forums, expert talks and practical discussion formats focused on major challenges and solutions in modern potato production.
Modern agricultural machinery will operate live under real field conditions, demonstrating technologies for planting, harvesting, loading and crop protection applications.
Case IH will serve as the technology partner for the live machinery demonstrations.
DLG Spotlight: Agricultural Logistics
The DLG Spotlight "Agricultural Logistics" will focus on transport solutions for potato and sugar beet production, including tractors, specialised trailers, scraper floor systems, conveyor belts, potato boxes, cover systems and logistics software.
The feature will also provide information on legal and economic aspects related to agricultural logistics, with support from Martin Vaupel of the Chamber of Agriculture Lower Saxony.
DLG Spotlight: FarmRobotix
DKE Data and DLG will present robotics, automation and artificial intelligence technologies for crop production as part of the FarmRobotix feature.
The programme will include live demonstrations, practical guidance and expert discussions focused on autonomous machinery and digital farming systems designed to improve efficiency and sustainability.
DLG Expert Stage
The DLG Expert Stage, located at trial field stand VG15, will host presentations and discussions covering current topics in potato and sugar beet production.
From 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., experts will provide insights into crop-specific and cross-crop developments affecting the agricultural sector.
