Lady Balfour is a Scottish bred variety of potato which has a number of key attributes for garden use. Possessing excellent resistance to some of the major potato diseases including blight, scab and virus Y, Lady Balfour can usually be grown well without chemicals.
As it thrives in low fertility situations it can be grown with less artificial fertiliser too.
The partly coloured tubers have tasty firm flesh best suited to boiling or baking as 'jackets'. Second Early variety. Flesh Colour - Cream. Uses - boil, steam, mash, saute, baked and roast.
