Según se recoge en una reciente publicación de la Interprofesional de la Patata de Francia, la mejora de rendimientos de la patata, en las últimas cuatro décadas, ha sido muy inferior al del resto de cultico.

After 20 months of service as the first elected chairman of the NEPG, the Dutchman Jaap Botma from Friesland stopped as scheduled. Jaap was an arable farmer (seed potatoes, sugar beets, onions, cereals, …) for 28 years.

La NEPG ha dado por finalizada la campaña 2021 con una producción de 22,7 millones de toneladas, lo que representa una bajada del 3,4 porciento en relación con la previa, aunque se mantiene un 2,7 porciento por encima de la media de los últimos cinco años.
