On June 10, 2020 Just Eat Takeaway.com NV announced that it had entered into a definitive agreement with US-based Grubhub Inc. to acquire 100% of the shares of Grubhub in an all-stock transaction. This would create the world’s largest online food delivery company outside of China based on revenue.

The companies expect the deal to close in the first quarter of 2021, pending shareholder and regulatory approval.
