JAM Farms

JAM Farms is a family-owned potato farm in Washington State's Columbia River Basin that produces russet potatoes for the frozen French fry business.

Juan Martinez and his wife own and administer the farm, carrying on a long family heritage of potato farming started more than 40 years ago by Juan's father, Frank Martinez, the founder of Saddle View Farms. Juan grew up in an immigrant agricultural family, working with his father in the potato fields and honing his skills through years of engagement in planting, harvesting, and farm operations across the Columbia Basin.qqbJAM Farms presently farms roughly 120 acres of russet potatoes that are used to make French fries for a big worldwide quick-service restaurant chain. The farm advantages from the Columbia River Basin's climate and irrigation systems, which are well-known for their lengthy growing season, availability to Columbia River water, and optimal circumstances for producing high-quality russet potatoes.

The farming operation blends traditional agricultural techniques with contemporary technology, such as GPS-guided tractors and precision farming technologies that improve planting and harvesting efficiency.
