Jensma Agro is a family-owned arable farming business based in Westhoek, Friesland, the Netherlands, with operations spread across Westhoek, Sint Jacobiparochie and Oude Bildtzijl. Managed by brothers Sjoerd and Gerlof Jensma alongside the next generation of the family, the company cultivates approximately 580 hectares of crops, including 223 hectares of seed potatoes, as well as ware potatoes, sugar beet, onions, winter wheat and winter carrots.
The company is a leading seed potato grower, supplying high-quality seed potatoes to major breeding and trading companies such as HZPC, Averis Seeds, Agrico and Europlant. Jensma Agro bespaart arbeid met Optica Q pootaardappelen
Jensma Agro heeft twee Optica Q optische sorteerders geïnstalleerd om 30 ton per uur aan pootaardappelen te sorteren met minder arbeidsinzet. Het systeem vermindert de behoefte aan handmatige inspectie, verbetert de efficiëntie, verhoogt de capaciteit en ondersteunt toekomstige groei. Er staan nog enkele kleine softwareverbeteringen gepland.
