2006 Potato Crop value in the US up 8% compared to 2005

For the United States, the value of all potatoes sold from the 2006 crop is estimated at $2.98 billion, up 8 percent from the previous year.according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service.

The final value of Idaho's 2006 potato crop was $761 million, $86.4 million above 2005's value of $674 million.
