Eurofreez en Seru & Annoot in handen van Aviko

De Nederlandse aardappelverwerker Aviko neemt twee Belgische sectorgenoten over. Het gaat om Eurofreez en Seru &Annoot, beide uit de Westhoek.

Eurofreez uit Proven is gespecialiseerd in aardappelbereidingen, meer bepaald diepvriesfrieten en -puree. Er werken zowat 150 mensen, waarmee het één van de grootste werkgevers uit de streek is. Eurofreez exporteert naar 65 landen. Seru &Annoot uit Veurne koopt aardappelen in bij meer dan 300 telers. Die aardappelen zijn onder meer bestemd voor verwerking bij Eurofreez. Ook dit bedrijf gaat over in Nederlandse handen.
