New brand of potato chips all set to hit Qatari market

UAE-based FMCG group Masafi has launched its food division, the Masafi Gourmet, in the Qatari market. The company will mark its foray into Qatar with the launch of premium potato chips in four flavours: Sea Salt, Sweet Chilly, Four Cheese and Labnah &Zaatar. “The chips, which are 100% natural and free of additives, have 65% less saturated fat content compared to other chips available in the market,” Masafi business development manager Rami Benjamin said. “The launch of Masafi Gourmet in Qatar, our second after UAE, is integral to our core philosophy to provide premium and quality products to our consumers in the country,” he said. In Qatar, the potato chips market is worth QR350-QR400mn annually, Masafi chief executive officer Ashraf Abu Saadi said.
