Iscon Balaji Foods (IBF), along with its flagship brand Hungritos, concluded a successful participation at the Global Potato Summit 2025, held on 11–12 December 2025 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. The company’s presence was marked by meaningful industry engagement, high-level interactions, and a prestigious leadership recognition.

On the first day of the summit, Honourable Shri Shyam Singh Rana, Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Haryana, visited the Hungritos stall. He explored the brand’s range of frozen finger foods and tasted the newly launched Hungritos Waffle Fries, which received special appreciation. During his interaction with Dr Tarun Gangwal, discussions focused on farmer wellbeing, sustainable agricultural practices, and the role of responsible food processing in strengthening rural livelihoods and the potato value chain.

Across both days of the summit, Hungritos engaged with industry leaders, partners, and stakeholders, contributing to discussions on innovation, sustainability, quality standards, and the future of India’s frozen potato sector. The participation reflected IBF’s continued commitment to farmer-centric growth, environmentally responsible practices, and value-driven food solutions.

Leadership recognition highlights IBF’s industry contribution

A key highlight of the event was the recognition of Iscon Balaji Foods, under the leadership of Managing Director Mr Neel Kotak, with the Frozen Potato Products Leadership Award. The award acknowledges IBF’s leadership in the frozen finger food segment, its focus on quality excellence, innovation-led processing, and its consistent efforts to create long-term value across the agricultural ecosystem.

Commenting on the achievement, the company stated that the recognition represents the collective efforts of the IBF team, whose dedication and expertise translate innovation into meaningful on-ground impact. The award also pays tribute to IBF’s farmer partners, whose trust, collaboration, and openness to progressive practices continue to drive the company’s growth journey.

The Global Potato Summit 2025 brought together policymakers, agribusiness leaders, processors, and experts from across the potato value chain to deliberate on emerging trends, sustainable practices, and future opportunities within the sector. IBF’s participation and recognition at the summit reinforce its role as a key contributor to India’s evolving potato processing industry.
