Italian family-owned company Boema, established in 1979, continues to strengthen its position as a leading supplier of processing solutions for the fruit and vegetable industry with its FME Nautilus Series, a range of hygienic hydraulic food pumps designed for the conveyance of potatoes, fruits, and vegetables.

Operating through two production companies—BOEMA FOOD PROCESSING TECHNOLOGY S.r.l. in Italy and FME FOOD MACHINERY EUROPE Sp. z o.o. in Poland—the group employs around 250 people and provides complete processing solutions, from design and manufacturing to installation and after-sales support.

As part of its commitment to maintaining full control over the production process, the company developed its own range of food pumps. These pumps have become an essential component of modern processing lines, offering significant advantages over conventional dry conveying systems, including improved product handling, hygiene, and operational flexibility.

Stainless Steel Construction and CIP Integration Support Food Safety Standards

The FME Nautilus Series has been engineered with a strong focus on hygienic design and ease of cleaning. All components are manufactured from stainless steel, with both the impeller and housing supplied in AISI 316L stainless steel as standard. The pumps are designed for easy disassembly during cleaning and maintenance and can be fully integrated with Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems.

Key features of the FME Nautilus range include suitability for a wide variety of applications, flexible conveyance over both short and long distances, and availability across a broad range of throughput capacities and product sizes. The pumps can be supplied with either direct or indirect motorization and feature a specially designed housing that enables gentle handling of delicate products such as mushrooms and diced fruits.

The company offers three FME Nautilus models covering a wide range of processing capacities, with additional sizes available upon request. Products are distributed globally through a network of agents and OEM partners, while production at the company's Polish facility supports rapid delivery times for customers worldwide.
