On September 9, 2026 Elea invites potato chip and French fry producers, as well as food industry professionals from around the world, to its headquarters in Quakenbrück, Germany, for the PEF Advantage Day 2026. Under the topic “Smart PEF Solutions with Elea’s PiCon Tools”, participants will gain practical insights into the latest developments in process intelligence and explore new opportunities for further optimizing PEF applications.

Why This Matters: The Next Step in PEF Optimization

Pulsed Electric Field (PEF) technology is already helping food processors worldwide to improve product quality, increase yields, and enhance production efficiency. With its PiCon Tools, Elea adds a new level of process intelligence, enabling advanced monitoring, analysis, and greater transparency throughout the PEF process.

By providing real-time process insights, PiCon Tools help processors better understand and monitor their operations, supporting stable production conditions and consistent product quality. Continuous monitoring allows operators to identify deviations quickly, respond faster to process changes, and reduce unnecessary waste.

As sustainability becomes an increasingly important focus across the food industry, PiCon Tools also support more resource-efficient production. By enabling more accurate tracking of key process parameters and resource consumption, including energy, water, and oil, processors can make informed decisions to further improve operational efficiency and sustainability performance.

The PiCon portfolio currently consists of three solutions: PiCon Sense for process monitoring through acoustic and vibration analysis, PiCon Vision for AI-powered visual monitoring, and PiCon Flow for resource monitoring and consumption analysis. Together, these tools provide deeper process insights and support data-driven optimization across food production operations.

PiCon Sense and PiCon Vision in Action

A key highlight of the PEF Advantage Day will be a live processing demonstration showcasing how Elea’s PiCon Tools provide valuable process insights directly on the production line.

Elea's PiCon Vision combines AI-powered image analysis with advanced camera technology to monitor belt load, dirt, and foam formation during PEF processing.

Participants will experience PiCon Sense, a solution that is nearing industrial implementation, in action. The system uses AI to analyse acoustic and vibration signals during cutting, providing real-time process insights that support continuous monitoring, rapid process adjustments, and consistent product quality.

The demonstration will also feature PiCon Vision, which is currently under development. Combining AI-powered analysis with advanced camera technology, PiCon Vision monitors belt load as well as dirt and foam formation, helping processors reduce energy consumption, optimize capacity utilization, and improve overall system efficiency.

A Day of Practical Insights and Industry Exchange

Beyond the live demonstration, the PEF Advantage Day 2026 offers a platform for learning, discussion, and networking around the future of intelligent PEF processing. Participants will gain insights into the latest PiCon developments, talk to Elea's PEF experts, and explore how data-driven process intelligence can support greater process consistency, efficiency, and sustainability.

The event also provides valuable opportunities to exchange experiences with fellow PEF users and discuss practical approaches to optimizing production performance.

Participation is free of charge, but registration is required. More information and registration are available at: www.eleapef.com/events/pef-advantage-day-2026-picon

For those wishing to explore PEF further, Elea offers two additional product testing slots on 10th September 2026. Participants can test PEF technology with their own raw materials in a controlled environment. Availability is limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. To reserve a slot, please contact Kevin Hill at k.hill@eleapef.com.

For participants traveling by train, a shuttle service between Osnabrück Central Station and Elea's headquarters will be available upon request during registration.
