The GRIMME VARITRON 220 TERRA TRAC is a powerful two-row self-propelled potato harvester designed for maximum performance, driving comfort, and manoeuvrability. Its rubber track system, combined with an extendable rear axle, ensures excellent traction, reduced soil compaction, and superior stability even under challenging field conditions.
The machine features a 2-tonne intermediate (buffer) bunker and a cart elevator, making it ideal for continuous harvesting with direct loading into boxes or trailers. This enables efficient logistics and minimises interruptions during harvesting operations.
The telescopic rear axle allows the right rear wheel to extend by up to 550 mm, further enhancing stability. The integration of rubber tracks significantly improves grip and field performance, especially in wet or difficult soils.
For crop handling, the VARITRON 220 offers multiple separator configurations, including Roller Separator and MultiSep systems, ensuring efficient removal of soil, stones, and haulm while maintaining gentle crop treatment.
The machine is equipped with advanced control systems such as ErgoDrive for intuitive operation, Clean Control for central separator adjustment, and Visual Protect for real-time monitoring.
