Originally founded by Pfanni Otto Eckart KG in 1966, the Cloppenburg plant has belonged to the Emsland Group since 2000. Since then, the plant has specialized in the production of potato flakes.

In 1970 Hagenow was a production site for French fries; the products flake puree and dumpling powder were added later.

The Wittingen plant was founded in 1962 from the company C.H. The Knorr food factories were built and also became part of the Group through their acquisition by the Emsland Group in April 2000.
