GPOD of Idaho began operations in Idaho Falls in 1968 after Fred Thompson and John Gellings formed a partnership with California’s General Potato and Onion Distributors, LTD.

Several farmers have grown for them since 1968, and many of their long-term customer relationships date back to the time when they shipped primarily to the northeastern United States. GPOD keeps all production and shipping under one roof to ensure quality and provide customers with a standard product.
