El Programa Nacional de Raíces y Tubérculos-Rubro Papa y el Departamento Nacional de Protección Vegetal de la Estación Experimental Santa Catalina del Instituto Nacional Autónomo de Investigaciones Agropecuarias INIAP, en colaboración con la Escuela Superior Politécnica del Chimborazo (ESPOCH) y el Centro Internacional de la Papa (CIP), ejecutan el proyecto: “Investigacion y Validacion de Componentes de Manejo Integrado de Patógenos del Suelo en el Cultivo de Papa, con Pequeños Agricultores de la Sierra Centro”;el propósito es identificar, verificar y seleccionar, en forma participativa con pequeños productores, alternativas sostenibles para el manejo integrado de patógenos del suelo, que deterioran la calidad y los rendimientos de la papa.
