Afgelopen woensdagavond, 23 september is op de aardappelherfstbeurs door het "Bundesamt für Statistik"een eerste officiële prognose voor de totale aardappeloogst van 2009 gegeven. De verwachting is dat de totale oogst 2009 uitkomt op 11,62 miljoen ton. Dat zou 2,2% meer zijn dan vorig jaar toen de definitieve oogst werd vastgesteld op 11,45 miljoen ton.
