FRUIT LOGISTICA 2010 underscored its position as a leading global trade fair for the fresh produce sector with a comprehensive overview of the market, the presence of all key decision makers in the industry, and a record number of exhibitors and visitors. From 3 to 5 February 53,000 visitors (+6%) from 130 countries gathered information at the most important trade event for the international fruit and vegetable world (2009: 50,000 from 125 countries).

Quality criteria for the three-day fair included its international scope and the presence of top-ranking managers and industry representatives with high level decision-making authority. Statements from exhibitors and visitors highlighted the excellent contacts with wholesalers and retailers, fruit and vegetable producers and import/export businesses. Setting a new record, 2,302 exhibitors from 71 countries (2009: 2,283/78), presented the complex logistics required to supply consumers around the globe with top-quality fresh produce year-round. 89 per cent of the exhibitors at this year's trade fair came from outside Germany.
Taking place in conjunction with FRUIT LOGISTICA was the third edition of FRESHCONEX, the only European trade fair for the fresh produce convenience sector. This event attracted 71 exhibitors from 15 countries who presented their products and services and were highly satisfied with the outcome of the trade fair.
