Vanmark Equipment, a Grote Company, recently opened a European Sales and Service facility located at Wrexham in the United Kingdom, allowing Vanmark to better serve our European, Middle Eastern and Central Asian customers.

Vanmark Equipment, the company that developed the first commercial potato peeler, is a recognized leader in the manufacture of industrial food processing equipment throughout the world. Since 1954, Vanmark Equipment has been designing and manufacturing food processing equipment to peel, scrub, wash, inspect, store and handle many types of products in the food industry.

Vanmark's roots are in the potato industry. Vanmark specializes in food processing equipment for turning potatoes into chips (crisps), French fries, and dehydrated products.

However, according to Ken Hancock, Vanmark's International Distribution Manager: "Vanmark Equipment also know a great deal about how to process other root crops such as carrots, beets and even onions. In fact, most of the carrots processed in the United States go through Vanmark Equipment peelers / washers before heading for the consumer. Our equipment is also used to process a variety of other food products such as nuts like pistachios and walnuts, fruits such as apples and peaches, and cabbage."
