A Danish potato growers organisation (Dansk Kartoffelproducent-forening) was fined for fixing the price of potatoes.
In 2009 the Danish potato grower organisation called a meeting and asked its members to leave the potatoes in the ground.
The Potato association was fined 500.000 DKK (about 90.000 USD)
Also the former president of the potato growers organisation, Birger Jensen, was personally fined 25000 DKK (about 4600 USD). This is because he represented the organisation and repeated the call to limit the potato supply in the media several times
