In an effort to better understand today’s potato consumer, the Prince Edward Island Potato Board has embarked upon a market study through an online survey.
The Potato Board has been working on an in-depth consumer and branding study with Ipsos-Reid researchers to build on the work done by the board, and gain an understanding of today’s changing potato-purchasing consumer through information collection.
Gary Linkletter, chair of the P.E.I. Potato Board, says, “We are excited about the results and it will give us a clear insight into who our customer is and what they want to see and hear from us.”
As a next step, the P.E.I. Potato Board will engage an advertising agency to help determine the brand strategy and a communications platform based on the new strategy.
Final results of the study are expected at the end of August.
